Address the cause of muscular pain and tightness with myofascial treatments
The way we live, and the impact it has on our bodies, has changed.
To manage that impact effectively, we need to provide more targeted solutions for treatment and prevention.
Motion Therapy does just that. Born from a desire to help athletes and people in pain, it alleviates muscular pain and tightness by addressing the root cause.

Motion Therapy addresses the cause, not the symptoms
Born from a desire to help injured athletes and people in pain, Motion Therapy removes a focus on the symptoms. Instead, treatment is targeted to address the cause of those symptoms – which often stems from the myofascia – for long-term relief.
Motion Therapy is a unique combination of massage therapies focusing on treating the myofascia.
Unlike conventional physical therapy for sports injuries, Motion Therapy doesn’t follow a one-size-fits-all approach that sets you up for reinjury.
Our Motion Therapists custom-develop a unique combination of fascia and muscle treatments tailored to your specific needs.

How is myofascial release different from a massage?
At first glance, myofascial release may look like a massage – but it’s far from it.
Massage uses stroking and kneading motions, generally administered with oils or other lubricants, to relieve muscle tension. This includes the release of “knots” in the muscles that may be caused by day-to-day movements, odd sleeping positions, or tired muscles.
While it provides relief (and potentially soreness from the release of the knots), it doesn’t typically address pain in the connective tissue (fascia) that surround your muscles and bones.
And this is where the two differ.
Myofascial release targets specific areas of the connective tissue (fascia). Without lubricant, your Motion Therapist locates and releases the areas of connective tissue that are restricted, softening and stretching the muscle fibres. For increased motion and less pain.
Addressing the cause and source of your pain or injury
- We Identify your challenges
- We get to know your lifestyle, needs, and goals
- We develop treatments that target specific areas of muscle and tissue to address both the cause and source of your pain
Motion Medicine is Penrith's specialist provider of Motion Therapy
Working with both athletes (via gyms) and individuals (via allied health professionals), Motion Medicine delivers myofascial treatment for:
- Improved mobility and pain relief
- Injury recovery and prevention
- Pre- and post-operative conditions
- Muscular maintenance and reconditiong
If a stressed fascia tightens, it compresses and contorts the muscles it surrounds. Treating the muscles alone doesn’t address the problem, which is why we deliver targeted myofascial treatments for immediate pain relief and future prevention.
What our clients say
Since starting treatment with Charlie, the results have done wonders for not just in the gym but in everyday life. Going about day-to-day activities pain & tightness free is something I have been able to achieve with Charlie.
Not only does Charlie provide treatment to areas you need but educate you on what his doing and why. Cannot highly recommended Charlie and his services.
Prior to starting my treatment sessions with Charlie, I had an injury preventing me from running. Charlie’s consultation was thorough as he sought to understand my lifestyle and training goals. He was able to identify other impacting areas and provided advice on how I could reduce recovery time through stretches at home.
After the first session I felt relief from the injury pain and soon returned successfully to running. Charlie’s ongoing advice and sessions have helped me to maintain being injury free and has improved performance in other training.
Motion Medicine is AMAZING! Charlie is the BEST in the business!
Since seeing Charlie, not only has he relieved pain that I have been having in my elbow and all over but has drastically improved my range of motion for me to continue and improve my skills in CrossFit.
Highly recommend Motion Medicine.
